INSIGHTS
Last year’s inaugural Kyndryl Readiness Report revealed a paradox: While 90% of
leaders said their IT infrastructure was best in class, only 39% thought it was ready for
future risks and disruptive forces. Since then, organizations and their people have
continued to be put to the test, navigating macroeconomic uncertainty and the rapid rise
of technologies such as agentic AI.
So it’s no surprise that the findings in this year’s Report — which draws on exclusive
data from Kyndryl Bridge, our AI-powered open digital business platform,
and insights from 3,700 business executives — uncovered a readiness tipping point
across their IT estates and their workforces. Tip one way, and they will turn obstacles
into differentiators. Tip another, and they will risk their competitiveness.
AI
With the promise to solve complex problems faster, improve customer and
continuously optimize how work gets done, companies are turning to AI because it can
represent a step change in how they operate their business. Our report shows that AI
investments are up 33% over the past year — across the spectrum of traditional
machine learning, generative AI, data centers for AI, and AI agents that can reason,
adapt and act to achieve specific goals
As in AI increase, the pressure to scale it and demonstrate its value rises as well
with three in five leaders reporting that they feel more pressure this year to positive
return on their AI investments. This is a people readiness challenge as much as a
technology readiness challenge as 87% of leaders believe that AI will fundamentally change
roles and in their organizations within 12 months. But most leaders
worry that their workforce lacks the skills needed to -fully seize AI opportunities.

Software As A Service
The number of enterprises automating half their network activities will triple by 2026 (Gartner® 2024), yet too many tools create noise — not clarity.
SD WAN
SD-WAN is the application of software-based network technologies that virtualize WAN connections. SD-WAN unchains network software services from underlying hardware to create a . Enabling the connection of users anywhere to applications, SD-WAN offers flexibility, simplicity, performance, security, and cloud scale. It also boasts ease of deployment, central management and control and assured application performance.
There is over 60 SD WANs in the market today, which one is best for your technology needs? Ecco America can guide you through the maze.
SASE
The Secure Access Service Edge is a unique innovation. It doesn’t focus on new cutting-edge features such as addressing emerging threats or improving application performance. Rather, it focuses on making networking and security infrastructure easier to deploy, maintain, manage, and adapt to changing business and technical requirements.
CYBER SECURITY
A successful cybersecurity approach has multiple layers of protection spread across the computers, networks, programs, or data that one intends to keep safe. In an organization, the people, processes, and technology must all complement one another to create an effective defense from cyber attacks.
CLOUD COMPUTING / PRIVATE CLOUD
Most CIOs today are either planning or executing a digital transformation strategy with the goal of automating operations, delivering new customer experiences and increase productivity.

Data Analysis
As CIOs and other tech leaders face pressure to adopt AI, many organizations are still skipping a crucial first step for successful deployments: putting their data house in order. Despite warnings going back at least six years, many CIOs fail to collect and organize the vast amount of data their organizations continuously generate, according to some data management vendors.

SASE Use Cases and Associated Business Outcomes
It didn’t take long for secure access service edge (SASE) to take the IT world by storm. One reason is that it was naturally time for an evolution of existing technologies — SD-WAN, for example. Another factor was the disruption IT departments experienced because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Here are areas where SASE finds a home in an overall IT strategy.

What is the Future of AI in Cyber Security?
The future of AI in cybersecurity lies beyond simple task automation. As the threat landscape grows more complex, AI is poised to evolve into a strategic, “agentic” force that works alongside human analysts to solve multifaceted problems.
This new era of AI will be defined by private, domain-specific models trained on an organization’s unique data, enabling highly accurate, contextual insights. The goal is to move from reactive defense to proactive, predictive security operations, with AI serving as a trusted co-pilot that orchestrates complex responses and empowers teams to make better decisions faster, ultimately transforming security from a reactive burden into an intelligent, data-driven defense.
